Case Study in detail – Sell 489 Teespring shirts with Niche Teacher

Teacher-niche-1

The Initial Difficulties I Encountered

Before joining Teespring Group to sell with Teespring, I sold at Sunfrogshirts for about a month, feeling very bewildered, because the amount of knowledge is too much and not systematic.

At that time, I ran more than 100 ads set on Facebook and made many mistakes that led to the loss of “face-down”.

But not so that I stopped, every time burning money and with each failure, I find the cause, offset the lack of knowledge to overcome for the next time.

After a short time, my skills in running Facebook Ads and my shirt-picking mindset were also better, starting to be profitable and I scale out many other cases.

If you are a beginner, and want to start making money with the sale of T-shirts, do not be too worried about the huge amount of knowledge or the sublime skills, you just need to start learning & doing from the basics first. , then gradually raise your level.

Over time, I’m sure you will have enough experience and good profit.

Here is the work, checklist that I did when performing a case study to sell 489 Teespring T-shirts with Teacher niche.

Find Niche – Ideas

I often go to Pinterest to spy and find ideas from best-selling shirts.

In many other countries, they are very popular and use Pinterest regularly, so finding the above idea is a very effective way for you to find customers’ interests and insights.

I inadvertently found a pretty pattern, which is a Chef’s shirt.

Teacher-niche-2

After researching the niche through Google, I know this sample of the target audience is the “mother of a cook”.

So I borrowed this idea to switch to the niche Teacher to see if it works.

Tip: When you find an idea from a certain niche, you should apply that idea to another niche and don’t clone (copy the exact same) for sale. Because these shirts are sold too much, it’s hard for you to sell them.

When I choose this idea and apply it to the teacher niche, the main object I target is those who have parents as teachers, and they will tend to buy for their parents without having to take any occasion.

Abroad, they love & focus on the slogan, logo … printed on the shirt because it shows a part of their personality.

Design Shirt & Find Target When Selling T-Shirts

My main idea is to print letters on the shirt so I did it myself quickly, without having to hire a designer.

At the present time with the continuous optimization from Facebook, the target has become much simpler, no longer difficult, and requires you to invest a lot of time in research.

However, because this is a case in the past and I want to share with you how to target in the past, when Facebook was still relatively small with user data and AI was not smart enough, if you want to target on Facebook, you will have to analyze. analyzing & finding customer preferences, the process I used to do is as follows:

Step 1: First, go to Audience Insight, select the country United United, then fill in Teacher interest

Teacher-niche-3

Step 2: Find the Top Categories and Page Like the Fanpage related to teacher career, then go to see if the interaction, the activity of that page is okay, I select the best Fanpage and copy the Fanpage name and paste it into the section Interest to continue the analysis.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 until the results are found deeper and deeper. Based on the results, you have to go straight to the fanpage, see that the number of likes, shares, and comments is very good

(the most important is the comment). Notice the item in the picture, the higher the number of People Talking About This is, the higher the interactive activity of that page.

Activity section to see where ads click follows me 20 or more as well.

Finally, I found a lot of positive interest, Fanpage has a high interaction of the teaching profession:

But finally, I just picked out the best 3 interests to start running ads including:

[+]    Teaching ideas.

[+]    Art teacher.

[+]    Music Teachers National Association.

These interests I have filtered according to the instructions above, must go to each Fanpage to see, a little time-consuming but in return, we have a very cool and standard target.

Running Ads

First I want to talk about my rules when running ads with Teespring, I normally set the rule that all of the $ 20 is not sold by 3 sales (even if there are 2 sales).

The advice for you is to set up a separate rule for each camp that you go on, definitely turn it on or off, because if you hesitate, you’re just inefficiently burning money.

With 3 interests I found as above, I have divided 3 ads sets to see which interests bring the highest efficiency, each ad set me to a $ 5 / day budget. I ran after PPE:

On the first day, I ran out of $ 15 on 2 sales, at this point it was very possible to find a scalable group.

On the 2nd day, I added 1 ad set with another target, still a budget of $ 5 for each ad set, at this time I got 7 sales, a pretty good sign.

Day 3 kept the same budget and I continued to keep it steady.

In the ads that I set, interest teaching ideals have the best results.

Note: Remember to create Conversion Tracking and Custom Audience Website Traffic to run Retarget when running retarget, you should run in the form of Increase Website Conversion (CTW)

Teacher-niche-6

Cost is not low, but sales are steady.

Scale And Management

After eating for 3 days on sale with 4 selected interests, I began to test in-depth many other interests found above, each target for me from 3 $ to 5 $ / day.

Just test each interest individually 1 ads max $ 10, if not eating then give up, but with interest are eating but 2 or 3 days without interest should also give up, do not regret anything.

I keep track 2-3 days which eat a few sales per day, for every 1 sale will increase the budget by $ 10 for adset.

For example, adapt teaching ideals on the 3rd day, eat 5, it will always increase to $ 50, this time may be many people will be afraid of psychology, but the fast increase will eat fast or the opponent will eat “for you”.

In addition, if any ads are profitable, they will keep losing, unfortunately, small costs or comment sharing reach a lot but if not sold, they can only keep losing.

Just like that by this method I will gradually filter and get the best set of ads set.

Then, I started running retarget when the customer file is about 50 (pay attention to run Retarget, the ROI is extremely high).

Regarding Ads management, I monitor ads & reviews at 11 pm every day.

The more you do, the more ads you will have, maybe at the beginning you make 2-3 days a camp, then raise to 2-3 camps a day, or as high as 10 camps a day …

Result

Here are the results I summarized after 3 runs.

First time: 7 days

Teacher-niche-7

The 2nd time: 9 days – This time my Facebook ads account encountered some problems so the sale fell.

Teacher-niche-8

Last 3: 10 days

Teacher-niche-9

Finally, I will have the following sum:

The total money collected after 3 runs is $6608.

The total cost of running ads 3 times is $2762.

Subtract all costs, I profit $3846.

After finishing this campaign, I just let it automatically relaunch, and sometimes have a few sales.

Scale The Shirt With Niche

Later, I designed the same shirt, but for “father of teachers”, then put the link in the article “Mother’s shirt” and also ate 49 shirts without running ads.

I later discovered that someone like me clones so that the profit and the number of clothes decreased.

Draw experience for the after the sale “Dad shirt”, now I have the capital and experience so I have sold more than 600 shirts, ROI is also higher than “Mom shirt”.

The target, the campaign & scale are the same, only different in the shirt, so you have to research as well as the standard target to initially be able to test to find the camp wins that VIT.

Conclusion

I hope with my Case Study, you will get useful knowledge and thinking that you can apply.

Selling T-shirts in the global market up to now is very fierce competition, but if you still want to try, you can refer to the article that you have shared on the blog.
